February is Fantasy Month: 5 Books Containing Fatastical Worldbuilding

Today I am participating in February is Fantasy Month, hosted by Plot Wizard Extraordinaire, the lovely and imaginative Jenelle Schmidt. http://jenelleschmidt.com/fantasy-month-tour-schedule/ I met Jenelle this summer and we connected over New Jedi Order (I know, so nerd, no shame :D), Timothy Zahn, Kathy Tyers, and Mara Jade. For February is Fantasy month, Jenelle’s blog tour will touch on several fantasy topics and including a blog tag. I chose the topic of world building. This is something really special about fantasy stories. While you do need to have world building for any story that you write, it is something hugely critical, and unique to fantasy and science fiction stories. I’m assuming…

    Fall Have-Read List

So, because of Christmas-ing and such, this post is late. For those of you who have not followed me over at the blog, this post needs a short explanation. This is my version of a To Read List. I actually dislike doing TRLs. For one thing, if I make a TRL public, I feel guilty when I don’t make it to all the books I told everyone I would finish, and then reading becomes a race- it becomes stressful, and I become frustrated. Author Interviews with Tricia Mingerink & Jaye L. Knight

I am thrilled to be a part of the blog tour for the release of Decree, Bitter Winter and Lacy! It’s been great fun so far! Today I’m blessed to share with you an author interview with Jaye L. Knight (author of the Ilyon Chronicles #5 Bitter Winter and the companion novella Lacy) and Tricia Mingerink (author of Blades of Acktar #5: Decree). I have truly enjoyed reading both series of books. If you are also an avid fan, you may know that Tricia and Jaye have collaborated for their novel releases to also create character chats with characters from both story worlds! How cool is that?! I have posted…

    Surprise!

The cover for Amarylis is done! I said that I was finishing up the very last edits, and I still am (in between family things and holiday plans) so it is taking me a bit longer than planned because, well, life. (And because I created quite the plot holes for myself since I'm not used to wrapping things up in "short" form, and need to cover them back up. Yikes.) But you all deserve something for that wait! What do you think?

    Thanks for your patience!

Hello again! It’s high time I popped back in to let you know that I’m still here, I have just been taking a break from blogging to focus elsewhere. While the website is here (obviously, because you’re on it if you’re reading this!) there are still a few aesthetic things I’m ironing out. If you missed it, there was a short and awkward video over on my Facebook where I made a few announcements. To sum it up: -Tricia Mingerink & Jaye L. Knight (authors whose books I adore) are both releasing novels in December, and will be doing character chats (what fun!) with characters from Ilyon & Acktar! AHHHH!…
